episode 015 – day dreaming

[Dream]

Bao Han in an ancient costume runs toward a man with his back turn away from her, “Lu Bu at last I can see you.”

The mysterious men turn slowly around…

[End of dream]

Bao Han wakes up from a push on the shoulder; she had fallen asleep at her desk after finishing all her work from last night. Rubbing and yawning Bao Han angrily look up to cuss at the person that had just ruin her perfect dream, “How dare you wake me up…?” She then stops cussing when she sees the person standing above her was her boss, Ky Duyen.

“What did you say?” Ky Duyen folds her arm.

“Good morning Mrs. Duyen.” Bao Han smile sweetly.

“Cut the crap! Where are the designs I ask you to finish yesterday?” Ky Duyen sticks out her hand.

“Right here…!” Bao Han searches her desk for the designs. “I left it right here…”

Ky Duyen becomes impatient, “I don’t have all day.”

“I know I did it! I spend my whole 4th of July to do it.” Bao Han continues to search her desk.

Ky Duyen walks off, “I knew I shouldn’t have give you such a big task.”

“Mrs. Duyen I did it. I swear!”

“Shut it! Pack your bag and leave if you can’t find the designs.”

“Calm down your honor. I have the design right here.” Calvin Hiep walks into the office.

Bao Han sighs, “Oh thank you!”

Ky Duyen takes the package full of design, “Very nice Bao...”

“No Calvin Hiep. I did these designs.” Calvin Hiep interrupts.

Bao Han eyes bulges in shock, “What…?”

“I came in yesterday on Independence Day to check up on Bao Han, but she was no where to be found and I knew that you need these designs therefore I took it home to finish it.” Calvin Hiep explains.

“What…?” Bao Han is still shock.

“Everyone needs to be more like Calvin and less of her.” Ky Duyen points at Bao Han.

Bao Han cries, “I stayed up here all day yesterday to finish this.”

“Then why does Calvin have it?”

“I swear that is mine.” Bao Han swear as she points to the package of designs.

“You are lucky that Calvin did these designs for you or you would have been fire.” Ky Duyen into her office, “Calvin comes in.”

“You snooze! You lose.” Calvin whispers as he passes Bao Han.

Bao Han runs into the bathroom crying, she screams and cry at the sink. Washing her pale and skinny face, Bao Han continues to cry.

“Stop crying Bao Han.” Bao Han splashes water on her face. “That’s what you get for sleeping during work.”

Bao Han sees the stall door opens slowly on bathroom mirror and a man walks out of the stall is one of many male designer, Tuong Khue.

Seeing each other in the bathroom both Bao Han and Tuong Khue screams at the top of their lung.

“Why are you in the lady bathroom?” Bao Han screams.

“Lady Bathroom? This is the men’s room.”

“I know what I saw and it was a lady in dress.”

“Look around it has male potty.”

Bao Han looks around and realizes she was in the wrong bathroom – she runs toward the door with full speed pushing the door, but it swing backward hitting her in the face.

“Ouch!” Bao Han and another voice scream at the same time.

Bao Han stand up and open the door slower this time – the moment she got outside she starts to run again, but because of the coffee the man had drop onto the floor made it slippery. Bao Han fell backward onto two pair of hands. Looking up she sees her other boss, Trinh Hoi, catching her.

Trinh Hoi lifts Bao Han up on her feet, “Are you ok?”

“Thank you!” Bao Han fixes her clothes and hair.

“Why were you in there?” Trinh Hoi questions as she points into the men’s bathroom.

“Long story…” Bao Han is embarrassed.

Trinh Hoi laughs, “I have the time.”

“Can I get you another cup of coffee?”

“It’s alright I have a meeting to go to.” Trinh Hoi points to his office.

“Didn’t you say you had the time to listen to my story?”

“I do after the meeting. Do you want to go out for some coffee?”

“Sure and I can pay back for your coffee.” Bao Han screams with joy.

Trinh Hoi laughs, “And I can teach you the different between a male and female stick person.”

“That’s not funny.”

“Well I’ll see you tomorrow morning.”

“Bye.” Bao Han waves.

Bao Han sits back down on the chair of her desk with a big smile on her face, but was turns upside down when she heard Ky Duyen screaming.

Suddenly it hit her that Trinh Hoi was already marry to the person she dislike the most. Bao Han frowns and sighs, “Bye-bye to my new love. I guess back to day dreaming”

Tu Quyen wakes up with Minh Tuyet and Nhu Loan in her face.

“How was the date? Who is he? Did you kiss? Where’d you go…?” Nhu Loan and Minh Tuyet ask in a flash.

Tu Quyen stretches her arms and feet, “Give me a minute.”

“What is his name?” Nhu Loan wraps her arm around Tu Quyen’s neck.

Minh Tuyet raises her eyebrow, “Does he have lots of money?”

Tu Quyen walks slowly to the bathroom with Nhu Loan and Minh Tuyet trailing along asking questions.

Tu Quyen brushes her teeth and washes her face still with Nhu Loan and Minh Tuyet asking and screaming questions into her ears.

After finishing those she turns around facing Nhu Loan and Minh Tuyet and in a dark and low voice she began to talk, “He’s a billionaire, but I didn’t like him so I shot him.”

“Stop kidding around.” Minh Tuyet pushes Tu Quyen softly.

“Ok! Ok! Give me a second to remember all the romantic moments.”

Tu Quyen starts to tell them what happened last night as they walk to the kitchen. The exact moment they reaches the kitchen was the same moment Tu Quyen finish her story.

“How could you run off on a date?” Nhu Loan screams.

Tu Quyen shudders, “I have to! If he leaves me for that then he’s not the right guy for me.”

“You go girl!” Minh Tuyet gives Tu Quyen a high five.

“You two are crazy.” Nhu Loan rolls her eyes.

Minh Tuyet laughs, “And we’re the one with boyfriends.”

“I’m guessing guys these days love crazy ladies.”

“I’m hungry.” Tu Quyen’s stomachs growls.

Minh Tuyet rubs her belly, “You usually make breakfast.”

“I was on a date yesterday.”

“Then what do we eat? We are going to starve to death.” Nhu Loan put her head on the kitchen table.

“No need to worry.” Van Quynh walks in from the back door.

“No need to worry? We’re going to die of hunger.” Nhu Loan cries.

Van Quynh place down a dish with fried eggs, “I knew Tu Quyen would not be cooking today so I just wanted to try out something new.”

Nhu Loan, Minh Tuyet and Tu Quyen swallow their spits and admire the delicious looking fried eggs.

“Who taught you to cook?” Minh Tuyet questions.

“That looks delicious.” Nhu Loan drools.

Tu Quyen takes a piece with her hand, “It taste even better then mine.”

“Good. Thank You!” Van Quynh picks up the dish.

“Where are you going?” Nhu Loan cries.

“This is not for you guys.”

“Then for whom?” Minh Tuyet stands up.

Van Quynh smiles shyly, “Someone secret.”

“Our little brat is growing up.” Tu Quyen smile.

Nhu Loan and Tu Quyen forces Van Quynh to sit down and held her down to the chair.

“Who will be the person eating this plate?” Minh Tuyet slams her hand on the table like she was the police and Van Quynh – the bad guy.

“Nhu Loan…!”

“What…?” Minh Tuyet is confused.

Everyone looks at Nhu Loan who had a mouth full of eggs in her mouth, “What? I’m hungry.”

“For real who is he?” Minh Tuyet says calmly.

“He’s this new guy that had just recently moved into our school and he is so handsome.” Van Quynh smile dreamingly.

“I have never seen her like this.” Tu Quyen whispers at Minh Tuyet.

“Why are you making him fried egg though?” Nhu Loan questions.

Van Quynh says sweetly, “He’s in my cooking class and I want to be the top so he can notice me.”

“You’re in cooking class?” Minh Tuyet is shock.

Tu Quyen and Nhu Loan laugh under their breath, “And you say you’re a great sister.”

“I have to go outside and continue to make better food.”

Nhu Loan’s eyes bulges in excitement, “I’ll be glad to be your taster.”

“Just eat this plate and I’ll make some more.” Van Quynh walks outside.

Minh Tuyet takes the plate away from Nhu Loan, “Give me that!”

“I was eating that.” Nhu Loan screams.

Tu Quyen smile at Minh Tuyet, “Are you jealous of this new guy?”

“No! Why should I?”

Nhu Loan and Tu Quyen stand up and dance around, “Minh Tuyet is jealous.”

“It’s just that mean she’ll be spending more time with that guy and our relationship will further apart even more then it already is.” Minh Tuyet frowns.

Tu Quyen and Nhu Loan comforts, “You have us to talk with.”

“Who want to talk to you guys?” Minh Tuyet kids.

Behind the unclose door to the backyard stand Van Quynh in tears at what her bigger sister had say, “I’ll always love you big sister.”
