episode 020 – just the beginning

[Cat Tien’s Apartment]

Andy Quach wakes up with a huge headache. As he rubs his forehead, Andy Quach looks around to see where he was. Trying desperately to remember what had happen yesterday he looks down to see that he was not wearing any clothes. His eye bulges in fear at the scene, “What have I done?”

The door of the room opens and Cat Tien walks into the room with a cup of coffee and a big grin on her face, “Here is some coffee, it will help you wake up.” Cat Tien place the cup of coffee on the counter next to the bed.

Cat Tien sits on the bed next to Andy Quach who was trying to covers himself up with the cover.

“Did… I?” Andy Quach says slowly hoping for a no.

“It’s ok if you don’t take responsibility because it’s not your fault.” Cat Tien puts her head down.
“No… I’ll take responsibility if I… We did.”

Cat Tien turns around and holds Andy Quach’s hands, “This means I’m your woman and you’re my man.”

“I guess so…” Andy Quach covers his head with the sheets.

Cat Tien walks out of the room and remembers about last night…

[Flashback]

“I love you!” Andy Quach pulls Cat Tien toward him.

They began to kiss passionately when Andy Quach fell asleep. Cat Tien stood up, but Andy Quach stops her by grabbing her hand, “I love you! I will love you forever…”

The words made Cat Tien smile widely showing her magnificent white teeth. Cat Tien came forward toward Andy Quach again.

“I want you by my side forever… Tu Quyen.”

Once Cat Tien heard that the person that Andy Quach was talking about she slaps him right across the face and runs toward her living room.

Cat Tien pushes and threw everything around screaming in rage and anger, “Why doesn’t he love me?” Cat Tien falls onto the sofa chair crying. Suddenly a devilish thought came up on her mind and she walks back into her room with a grin, “If you don't love me then I'll make you think you owe me.”

[Flashback Over]

“Get ready for work.” Cat Tien winks at Andy Quach as she close the door.

[Coffee Shop]

Tu Quyen hurriedly chows down the glazed donut Bang Kieu had brought out for her, “I’m almost late for work.”

“Can you be a little late? I have something to tell you guys.” Nhu Loan smile.

Bao Han looks at her make-up mirror, “What’s the big news?."

“Why can’t you just tell me now?” Tu Quyen stuffs the rest of the donut into her mouth.

Bao Han rubs the chocking Tu Quyen, “Where’s Minh Tuyet?”

“Ask Bang Kieu… I want all three of you to hear my great news.” Nhu Loan fixes her hair.

“Bang Kieu where’s Minh Tuyet?” Bao Han screams across the room while still patting the chocking Tu Quyen’s back.

“I don’t know. She didn’t call or anything.” Bang Kieu replied as he tries to make coffee and work the register.

“Minh Tuyet… is…” Tu Quyen chokes.

Bao Han makes a disgusting face, “No talking while eating missy.”

“But… Minh…”

Nhu Loan gives Tu Quyen coffee, “Here drink it down and then talk."

Tu Quyen drinks down the food in her mouth, “Minh Tuyet told me this morning that she’ll be out with a friend.”

“A friend…? Guy or girl…?” Bao Han leans toward Tu Quyen.

“She didn’t say.” Tu Quyen shudders.

“It’s a guy.” Nhu Loan says quickly.

Tu Quyen pushes Nhu Loan, “Don’t make up stuff. If she hears you, she’ll kill you.”

“No look.” Nhu Loan points out the window where Minh Tuyet and another male stand - hugging across the street.

“That slut…!” Bao Han screams.

“Who’s a slut?” Bang Kieu puts his head between Nhu Loan and Bao Han.

The three ladies eyes bulges and stands up covering the scene, “No one.”

Bang Kieu tries to look through the lady to see what they are hiding, “What are you guys trying to cover up?”

“Nothing…” Nhu Loan leans on Tu Quyen.

“Then why did you stand up when I came over?” Bang Kieu says anxiously.

“Well… We just wanted to ask you if we look nice today or not.” Bao Han smile seductively.

“Yeah…!” Nhu Loan and Tu Quyen smile nervously.

Bang Kieu raises his eyebrow, “I can’t answer that. I have Minh Tuyet.”

“Well then never mind.” Tu Quyen fakes a disappointing look.

Bang Kieu starts to walk away. The three ladies still stood in place faking to pose and fix their clothes. Seeing Bang Kieu at the counter once again the ladies sit theirs self down.

“That was a close one.” Nhu Loan says as the three of their head get close together.
“Is she cheating on Bang Kieu?” Bao Han puts her hand to her mouth.

Tu Quyen rubs her chin like an old grandpa, “Maybe it’s not what it looks like.”

Bao Han rolls her eyes, “She’s with a guy intimately hugging in broad day light.”

“What were you guys hiding?” Bang Kieu says as he stares out the window.

The ladies look around and run up to Bang Kieu; who was standing at the window. However, when they look out the window Minh Tuyet and the mysterious guy was already gone.

“Phew…” Tu Quyen looks at Bao Han and Nhu Loan.

“What is everyone looking at?” Minh Tuyet asks as she places her stuff on the table.

Bang Kieu came over to give her a hug and kiss leaving the ladies looking shamefully at Minh Tuyet.

The ladies came over and sat theirs self down angrily as soon as they see Bang Kieu leaves.

“Spill it out woman!” Bao Han says with wide eyes.

“Who is he? What’s his name? Where is he from?” Nhu Loan folds her arm.

“And how could you do that?” Tu Quyen shakes her head.

“What are you guys talking about?” Minh Tuyet is confuses.

Bao Han slam her hand, “You know exactly what we are talking about.” Bao Han shake her hand in pain at the slamming.

“We saw you with another guy hugging intimately right over there.” Nhu Loan points outside the window.

“That’s what you guys were looking at.” Minh Tuyet laughs.

Tu Quyen makes a sad face, ‘How could you be joking about this. You can’t just have your cake and eat it too.”

“He’s a long time friend that I haven’t met since high school.” Minh Tuyet explains.

“But you two look really close.” Nhu Loan says.

“Aren’t you scared that if Bang Kieu knows about this you two would…?” Bao Han questions.

Minh Tuyet rolls her eyes, “Don’t be silly. Bang Kieu would understand.”

Tu Quyen looks at her clock and scream, “I’m almost late for work. I have ten minute.”

“Me too…!” Nhu Loan screams.

Tu Quyen and Nhu Loan stands up and pack their belonging and was about to head out the door when Bao Han grabs Nhu Loan hand, “You don’t have a job.”

“I do now. You are looking at a Gucci model.” Nhu Loan poses.

Nhu Loan, Bao Han, Minh Tuyet, and Tu Quyen jumps up and down screaming happily when Tu Quyen sees Henry Chuc and a blonde hair woman looking exactly like Dalena. They look like they were screaming and arguing with each other.

“I have to go to work now.” Tu Quyen separate from the ladies and runs outside to chase after Henry Chuc and ‘Dalena’. However, once Tu Quyen got outside she couldn’t find Henry Chuc and ‘Dalena’ anywhere.

[Police Station, Tu Quyen’s office]

Tu Quyen sits at her desk wondering how Dalena could be dead and still alive at the same time, “Thing doesn’t seem what it is because it takes two. Revenge me…” Tu Quyen continues to repeat the saying in her head.

There was a knock at the door and Cat Tien enters the office with a wide smile on her face. Cat Tien place a folder on Tu Quyen’s desk, “Madam this is from chief Tuan Ngoc.”

Tu Quyen opens the folder and sees a new assignment, ‘Thank you! You can leave now.”

“You don’t want me to do anything?” Cat Tien asks.

“I need times to read the new assignment.”

Cat Tien points to Tuan Ngoc’s office, “But he said that he wanted me to help you with this project.”

“He wants you to help me…?” Tu Quyen laughs, “There must be a mistake because I’ve always work alone.”

“You can ask him yourself.” Cat Tien smile.

Tu Quyen stood up from her chair and marches over to Tuan Ngoc’s office. When Tu Quyen enters Tuan Ngoc was on the phone, he made a hand sign to tell them to stop leaving Tu Quyen standing impatiently next to the smiling Cat Tien.

“What do you need?” Tuan Ngoc signals them to sit.

Tu Quyen walks over to the chair, “Is it true that you want her to help me with this project?”

“Yes I did…”

Cat Tien sits down on the chair with a satisfying look, “I told you so.”

“You know I’ve always worked alone.”

“There’s always a first.” Tuan Ngoc tries to explain.

“But… She’s a rookie.”

Cat Tien stands up from her chair, “What does that mean?”

“Calm down you two. Yes you two will be working together…” Tuan Ngoc says as Tu Quyen stomp the floor. “However, Cat Tien you’ll have to listen to all Tu Quyen’s order since she’s more experience.”

Tu Quyen smile and sits down on the chair, “Now that’s more like it.”

Cat Tien’s jaw drop, “How…? Erg….”

“Is that all?” Tuan Ngoc asks.”

Tu Quyen walks out of the office with a grin on her face while Cat Tien looks piss and angry.

“It’s great to be a madam.”

“I can’t believe I have to listen to you.”

“Well there’s always a first.” Tu Quyen walks fiercely to her office door and close it as she wink at Cat Tien.

Cat Tien shakes in anger, “This is just the beginning!”
