Bao Han and Calvin Hiep sit in the middle of the room with pencils and paper ready to begin while the whole company watches from behind in excitement. Trinh Hoi stands behind Bao Han while Ky Duyen stands behind Calvin Hiep.
Ky Duyen whispers into Calvin Hiep’s ear, “Don’t embarrass me or you know what will happen…”
Calvin Hiep breathes out heavily, “I won’t disappoint you Mrs. Duyen.”
Trinh Hoi stands up and announces “The rules are for you to draw one of the designs in this package of designs…”
“Wait…!” Ky Duyen screams. “We have already heard of one design. Therefore it’s unfair for them to draw that one.”
“I’m dead.” Calvin Hiep closes his eyes.
“Fine then you picks one of the designs.” Trinh Hoi hands over the package to Ky Duyen.
Ky Duyen flips and looks through the designs the pick randomly. She then holds it up for Bao Han and Calvin Hiep to look and observes then shows it to Trinh Hoi and the rest of the peoples in the company. The moment Bao Han set eyes on the blue extravagant strapless and backless gown, Bao Han went straight to work. However, Calvin Hiep on the other hand just sat there scare and terrified about losing his job.
Ky Duyen came over to picks up the designs and sees the full drawing of Bao Han while Calvin Hiep had nothing on his paper. Bao Han smiles widely while Calvin shakes in fear. Ky Duyen hands Trinh Hoi both of the drawing and Trinh Hoi made a confusing face. Bao Han ran toward the confused Trinh Hoi and grabs the drawing to see that both of the drawing looks exactly the same.
Bao Han holds both of the drawing in her hand and screams, “How could this have happen?”
Ky Duyen turns around and winks at Calvin Hiep which causes him to smile in joy. Calvin Hiep stands up from his chair and walks over to Bao Han, “It’s obvious that you I know the designs.
“By cheating...!” Bao Han screams.
“How…? Can you please explain it to me?” Calvin Hiep scoffs.
“She can’t but I can.” Tuong Khue steps up out of the crowd of designers.
Ky Duyen eyes bulges, “This is no time for you to talk.”
“I let him talk. Go ahead…!” Trinh Hoi defends.
Tuong Khue walks over to Ky Duyen and snatches the real Calvin Hiep’s paper out of the design package that Ky Duyen had switch while picking up the designs, “This is the real drawing that Calvin Hiep drew.”
“Don’t be arrogant and stupid!” Ky Duyen snatches the designs out of Tuong Khue’s hands.
“Then why is his signature at the bottom of the piece of paper?” Bao Han questions with a smirk.
Ky Duyen checks hurriedly and sees Calvin Hiep’s signature and rolls her eyes. Because of the embarrassment Ky Duyen marches into her room and slams the door behind her leaving Calvin Hiep pale faced.
“You know I’m very sorry Bao Han.” Calvin Hiep says in a sweet voice.
“I accept your apology, but I don’t know about your boss, Trinh Hoi.” Bao Han mocks.
“Packs your belongings and I don’t think I have to tell you where the door is.” Trinh Hoi is furious.
Calvin Hiep falls onto the ground begging, “Please don’t fire me! This is the only job for me to support my family.”
“Family of one…?” Tuong Khue questions causing laughs.
“How did you… What… and…?” Calvin Hiep stutters.
Bao Han jumps up and down excitedly as everyone surrounds her. Trinh Hoi gives Bao Han a deep hug causing her to feel warm and secure. Inside her office, Ky Duyen looks at the two hugging with rage and anger.
[Gucci Company]
Nhu Loan stands in the long line of models waiting for an interview to be in the multimillion dollar modeling company. Nhu Loan observes and looks around at the other models, “They’re all so beautiful… That girl looks like she can win a beauty pageant! Why am I here? I’m not even that pretty.”
“You’re gorgeous honey.” A lady says from behind.
Nhu Loan turns around and sees the same model, Cat Ly; she was competing with during her trip to Maxim Modeling Company, “It’s you… Weren’t you the one at the other…?”
“Yes at Maxim Modeling Company. I have to say thank you.”
“For what…? I didn’t do anything.” Nhu Loan is confused.
“The speech you made really inspired me to treat myself with respect and dignity.”
“I made an impact on someone else?”
“Yeah…! Are you here for an interview?”
Nhu Loan rolls her eyes, “The line is extremely long. I’m number 101!”
“You’re one ahead of her I’m number 102.” Cat Ly laughs.
“Now I don’t have to be bored by myself anymore.”
Nhu Loan and Cat Ly continue to chat and laugh about their modeling career.
“It’s my turn already. That was so quick!”
“Good luck and nail that interview.” Cat Ly cheers.
Nhu Loan walks slowly into the room where she sees rows of clothes hanging and a runway in the middle of the large room, “This is huge.” Nhu Loan continues walking and observing everything around her.
“Over here.” A manly voice echoes in the large room.
Nhu Loan looks quickly at the directly of the voice and sees a handsome and neatly dress up man, Tran Thai Hoa, sitting at one corner of the room. Nhu Loan walks slowly and shyly toward the man, “Wait this is a modeling interview.”
Nhu Loan suddenly drops her hand to her hips and walks fiercely toward Tran Thai Hoa which causes Tran Thai Hoa to give a smirk.
When Nhu Loan reaches the desk she winks at Tran Thai Hoa and stick out her hand for a hand shake, “My name is Nhu Loan, I’m now 24 and I want to be a model of Gucci Company.”
“Why should we hire you?” Tran Thai Hoa bites the top of his pen.
“You don’t have to hire me, but I suggest you do.” Nhu Loan says demandingly.
“Because…?”
“Because I love and enjoy walking fiercely down the runway. I have a passion for fashion.”
“More…?” Tran Thai Hoa is interested.
“That’s all. I want to keep it simple.”
Tran Thai Hoa smiles, “We will give you a call when we reach a decision.”
Nhu Loan thanks and walks toward the door with her hands shaking in fear, “I can’t believe I just did that.”
Once Nhu Loan reaches the street she sighs as she looks at the company’s sign. Nhu Loan walks across the street with many other strangers, but stop in the middle of the street when she hears someone calling her name.
“Nhu Loan... Stop…!”
Nhu Loan turns around and sees the receptionist, Vina Uyen Mi, “Hi there! Is there a problem?”
“It’s not a problem just that you got the…” Vina Uyen Mi was interrupts be the honking of the car.
“What…? I can’t hear you.” Nhu Loan screams back still standing in the middle of the street.
“I say you got the…” Vina Uyen Mi once again gets overshadow by the honking of the cars.
Nhu Loan puts her hand into the air and shakes it for signals that she can’t hear anything. Suddenly the light turns green and Nhu Loan was still standing in the middle of the busy street.
Nhu Loan screams at the oncoming cars and run speedily toward the sidewalk, “That was close.”
Vina Uyen Mi walks over to Nhu Loan and pats her on the shoulder, “That was a close one. You don’t want to have to takes days off for your first few days of work.”
“I don’t have a job…” Nhu Loan smiles and fixes her hair.
“Yes you do!” Vina Uyen Mi smiles.
“I really don’t have a job. That’s why I’m here to get a job…” Nhu Loan eyes bulges, “I got the job? I’m a model of Gucci Company?”
Vina Uyen Mi gives Nhu Loan a smile, “Congratulation!”
Nhu Loan; who was standing in the middle of the street screams and yell in excitement, “I got the job! I got the job!”
[Police Station, Tu Quyen’s Office]
Tu Quyen wipes the tears away from her eyes and made her way to her desk. She sits down and tears continue to drop from her eyes. “Stop crying. It’s over!” Tu Quyen continues to remind herself, but she couldn’t help but remember all the great time the two had together.
Suddenly her cell phone rings and she picks up to hear the voice of Luong Tung Quang, “Hello?”
“What are you doing?” Luong Tung Quang questions.
“I’m at work.”
“What’s wrong you sound weird?”
“Nothing just a little sick…!” Tu Quyen fakes a cough.
“I’ll pick you up after work and we can go out for dinner.”
“Not today… I don’t feel well.”
“Then how about tomorrow night…?”
“I’ll call you when I feel better ok?”
“Hope you feel better.”
Tu Quyen hangs up and looks at the door with tears in her eyes.
Outside that very door still stand Andy Quach in pain. Andy Quach holds up his hand and touches the door with grief and anger.
“Are you ok?” Cat Tien says in a concern voice.
“Can you do something for me?”
“Anything…”
“Go drinking with me.” Andy Quach grabs Cat Tien’s hand and they walks out the door.
[Go-Go Bar]
Andy Quach downs another beer after another leaving Cat Tien sitting with still one bottle.
“Give me more beer…!” Andy Quach screams for more.
Cat Tien sit uncomfortable on the chair staring at Andy drinking beers, “Why am I here?”
Andy Quach holds the beer bottle to the air and scream, “This feels great!” Andy Quach then looks over at the uncomfortable Cat Tien and grabs her hand, “Come with me.”
“Here we go again!”
Andy Quach and Cat Tien leaves the bar after Cat Tien pays for the beers and with his hand over Cat Tien’s shoulder the two walks dizzily down the street.
“Where are we going?” Cat Tien questions.
“We are going…” Andy Quach throws up on the wall and falls to the ground.
Cat Tien helps Andy Quach up, “Why do I have to do this?”
With the drunken Andy Quach on her shoulder Cat Tien walks them to her apartment where she lives alone by herself. She lets Andy lay on her bed, “Why am I doing this? He doesn’t love me.”
Suddenly Andy Quach grabs Cat Tien hand, “Don’t leave me.”
Cat Tien’s cheeks turns bright red, “I’m just going to go get you some coffee.”
“No… I want you by my side forever.” Andy Quach says dreamingly.
Cat Tien gulps, “Do you really mean that?”
“I love you and I'll always will” Andy Quach pulls Cat Tien toward him.

[Hospital]
The brown door of Huy Vu’s hospital room flings open as Tu Quyen enters with Andy Quach trying desperately to follow her in his wheelchair. Tu Quyen runs toward the nurse, Y Lan, who at the moment was holding a billboard examining the body on the bed – it has the covers covering the face meaning it was dead.
Tu Quyen grabs Y Lan, “I thought you say he was alive?”
“We are very sorry for your lost… Please try to calm down.”
“Calm down… How can I?”
Y Lan puts her hand on Tu Quyen’s shoulder, “I know you love her, but she’s gone now.”
“I did love her… I do love her… Her…? What?” Tu Quyen flips the cover off of the body and she sees a dead woman. “This is not Huy Vu! Where is he?”
“Huy Vu?” Y Lan is confuse.
Andy sit outside of the door astonish at what he have heard from his love. He slowly backs his wheelchair and move out of the hospital in rage.
Y Lan calls the phone office and lead Tu Quyen toward the room next door where she sees Huy Vu laying silently with no movement that look alive. In the room there was only one doctor, Sy Dan; who was examining Huy Vu eyes.
Tu Quyen walks slowly over to Huy Vu and grabs his hand, “How is he?”
“He is alive alright which is a miracle because in my entire career this is the first time I’ve seen something this incredible.” Sy Dan is amaze.
“But he’s not moving.”
“Still breathing is a lucky thing for him.”
“Why isn’t he moving?”
“When the bullet hit him it damage his spin which will kill every human being, but this… this is a miracle.”
“A miracle…? If it a miracle then he would be talking to me right now not laying there like a dead person.” Tu Quyen screams.
Sy Dan comfort, “I know what you are going through.”
“How much chance does he have to wake up?”
“Not much… more of one in a million.”
“I promise you that I will take care of you until you wake up.” Tu Quyen kneels down and hugs Huy Vu looking at his face when his index finger began to move.
[Bang Tam Coffee Shop]
Minh Tuyet and Bang Kieu started to clean the coffee shop right after they got back from Ha Vy’s funeral. The place had broking glasses, cups, plates, tables, and chairs. Minh Tuyet cleans the place with anger in her movement such as breathing deeply and complaining how it was way too much for only two peoples.
Minh Tuyet throws the pieces of the cup into the trash can, “I’m tire… Can we go out to eat?”
“I promise Bang Tam that we would take care of the shop for her.”
“You… Not we.” Minh Tuyet whispers under her voice.
“If you’re hungry you can go eat and I’ll stay here to finish.” Bang Kieu smile.
Minh Tuyet stomps toward the counter and grabs her purse - heading toward the door; closing the door rigidly behind her. Bang Kieu continue to clean when the door flings open; standing at the door was the furious Minh Tuyet.
“Are you cheating on me?” Minh Tuyet cries.
Bang Kieu is in shock, “What are you talking about?”
“It’s an easy question… Yes or no?”
“No!” Bang Kieu shakes his head.
Minh Tuyet kicks the trash can which cause everything to pour back out on to the floor, “You don’t know this woman and here you are cleaning and promising to take care of her shop.”
Bang Kieu laughs, “Are you kidding?”
“I’m not kidding! Answer me.” Minh Tuyet demand.
Bang Kieu walks over to Minh Tuyet and tries to hug her, but she pushes him away. Suddenly Bang Kieu grabs Minh Tuyet by her waist and kisses her passionately. Minh Tuyet start laughing which made Bang Kieu laughs.
“Why are you laughing?” Bang Kieu questions.
“Sorry about doubting you and the trash can thing.” Minh Tuyet gives an innocent face.
“Know you know what you have to do.”
“What?”
“Clean this whole shop by your self and I go out to eat with my other girlfriend.” Bang Kieu jokes.
Minh Tuyet slap Bang Kieu on the arm, “That’s not funny. I want you to promise me to never lie or cheat on me.”
“I promise.” Bang Kieu kisses Minh Tuyet

Bao Han run hurriedly toward her desk, but was stop by her co worker, Calvin Hiep.
“I’m late… Move out of my way!” Bao Han screams.
Calvin Hiep takes out an envelope and pushes it into Bao Han’s hand, “This belongs to you.”
“I’m only thirty second late.”
“Then it’s still late.” Ky Duyen walks into the room.
“Mrs. Duyen.” Everyone in the room greets.
“Bao Han whose are those?” Ky Duyen points to a humongous photo on the wall with a man and woman.
Bao Han’s hands began forming into punching position, “You and your husband.”
“What does TH & KH Design Company stand for?”
“Trinh Hoi & Ky Duyen Design Company.”
“If you go late to work and I don’t give you a warning letter then what will the others do?”
“Go to work late also.”
“There you have it. This is your first warning letter and I want it to be your last… Understand?”
“Yes Mrs. Duyen.” Bao Han cracks her voice.
Calvin Hiep walks Ky Duyen toward her room with a huge grin on his face. As for Bao Han, who stands in the middle of the company embarrasses at what had just happen. She hurries herself into the bathroom to wipe away her tears.
“Who do you think you are? I promise to you and myself that one day I will be the boss of my own designing company.” Bao Han screams at the mirror.
[Maxim Company]
Nhu Loan poses in front of a camera in a white unbuttons shirt covering the black bra inside. This was a chance of a life time for Nhu Loan if she could get a contract with Maxim. Everyone in the company was looking and clapping at the sizzling Nhu Loan when another model, Cat Ly, walks into the company in just a blue and black bra and short skirt. Everyone turns their attention to her – even the camera man that was shooting Nhu Loan.
“Slut…!” Nhu Loan whispers.
Cat Ly walks pass Nhu Loan, “How pathetic.”
Nhu Loan manages to smile back as she takes off her white shirt which was more revealing. At that moment everyone return their eyes at Nhu Loan which began to pose once again. Cat Ly stomps her feet and was about to unbutton her bra when suddenly Nhu Loan stops posing and puts back her shirt.
“Why do I have to do something so low? I don’t have to compete for something that I have to use my body for. You can have this disgusting job. I can find a different job where someone appreciates my modeling ability and not by how many clothes I can take off.” Nhu Loan smile as she walks out with her head held high.
